Daylily 'Catherine Neal'

Catherine  Neal

32 - inch height         6 - inch flower

A great dark accent.

Introduced in 1981 by Jack Carpenter in Texas, who Registered it as follows:

" 30 in. height. Very Late, Reblooming. 6 in. flower. Purple self with green throat. Dormant foliage. "

Black violet with lighter midribs and a lime-yellow throat. Nicely ruffled. For us, she blooms much earlier in the year, but does have two sets of flower scapes in succession.
(About descriptions). Heavy substance of the flower is not affected
by heavy rain. Recipient of the very highly coveted Award of Merit
in 1990, and the Eugene S. Foster Award in 1991. (Awards).
